IN TOLEDO, OHIO

SAVE THE DATE, APRIL 18, 2009

THIS WILL BE AN ALL DAY EVENT SINCE IT'S JUST ONE DAY THIS YEAR.

OUR GROUP WENT LAST YEAR AND EVERYONE LOVED IT.

WE WILL BE CAR POOLING TO SAVE ON EXPENSE.

THE ELVIS SWEET SWEET SPIRIT FAN CLUB WILL BE HOSTING THEIR ANNUAL ELVIS FESTIVAL ON SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2009.

THE THEME FOR THIS YEAR'S FESTIVAL IS "ELVIS MEETS THE BEATLES"

CIVIC CENTRE PROMENADE
237 S. ERIE ST.
TOLEDO, OH

Directions:
Go west on the Ohio Turnpike

Get off at Exit 64 (I-75)

Go NORTH on I-75.

Get off at Exit 201B (Rt. 25 North - Downtown Toledo)

Stay in the right lane.

At the first traffic light, make a right turn - onto S. Erie St.

The Civic Centre Promenade is on the Left side.

(There is free parking available at the side and in the back of the building)

Food, Vendors, Raffles, Door Prizes

There will be a "Conversations" segment or two (basically a talk / Q&A thing) at the festival!

    Aloha Folks: This event sells out quickly so jump on the Elvis band wagon and get your advance tickets. We have a table but hopefully we'll need more than one. BTW-I attended the Rock Hall Induction yesteray - I know Elvis was smiling as his music and legacy were honored with Scott Moore giving the induction honors to DJ Fontanan and posthumorously to Bill Black. Wanda Jackson was an early influence and was tutored by Elvis way back when - hope to see you soon - mahalo/thanks-Dahmia

      “ Our group attended the annual 'Elvis Toledo Fest'. D.J. Fontana and Sonny West were the special guests. It was a great time for all. A number of our members took the time to meet the special guests (and pose for pictures with them). There was a "Conversations" segment with the guests - inwhich Fontana and West told some stories about their time with Elvis. They also answered questions from the audience. There were two Elvis tribute artists that performed. Both were good. Since the theme of the Fest was "Elvis Meets the Beatles", there was a Beatles tribute band that performed. They were good. The fest also had vendors tables - which guaranteed that fans attending went home with more than what they came with ”
